Uh, okay, so I have a 15inch pb g-four and today my keyboard's four numerical button stopped working...my 3 and 5 work fine, but the four just refuses to work....nothing was spilled on the board or anything...anyone have any suggestions on how I can get it "unstuck?" How much would a new keyboard cost me? I totally don't want to have to cough up for a new one, but this is pretty annoying...

If you're careful, you can pop the plastic key part off to take a closer look and see if there's anything stuck under there.

There's definitely nothing stuck under the keys, I did pop them off to check...I also discovered that my mute, volume down and volume up buttons arent working either! What could be causing this?

Okay, well lets work out whether this is a software or hardware issue. If you hold SHIFT as you press 4, do you get the dollar sign (assuming it's a standard US keyboard, otherwise may be a different symbol)? :)

Hold SHIFT or FN or OPTION and try out these non-working keys to see if you get any reaction from them. :)

I get nothing while holding shift or function or option and pressing four. I'm guessing this is probably a hardware problem, which means I'll have to replace the keyboard...which means 130 bucks, egad....figures that the computer is a couple months out of the extended applecare...:(
