Hi.
I am thinking of getting a developer license (or whatever they're called :p ), not just for Lion preview but I actually will develop apps! (Lol)

One thing I'm not sure of though - if I do get Lion I will want to install it on a partition of my internal HD, not an external one.

However, in Disk Utility all my partition options are greyed out. Why? (Screenie below)

Is it because I have Boot Camp as well as my Mac HD?
Would this cause any trouble?

Many thanks.

Ah, OK, n00b error! Thanks.
Still wondering if I can partition it with Boot Camp and be able to tri-boot Snow Leopard, XP and Lion?

It should work, but I wouldn't know. Lion also dropped support for boot camp with XP, so keep that in mind.

Thanks. So would installing Lion disable my XP Partition, or would that only be if it was my primary OS?
Sorry for the questions, I'm the cautious type :)

I don't think I've seen anything about that yet, and since I don't have Lion myself (I might sign up in the next 2 weeks or so if I get some time), I'm not sure of the answer either. I'm pretty sure it's fine though, since dropping XP support just means that Boot Camp assistant stops giving the XP drivers, but since you have those already, I don't think anything will be wrong.

If you do go ahead and try it, do let us know!
