hello hello, hope you can help me..
i'm new to this forum so i apologize in advance if this is in the wrong topic.. anyway

my power supply for my powerbook g4 is messing up..
it will charge my laptop for 5 minutes and just randomly turn off, i'm not sure if it's my computer or just the power supply... it will go orange the whole time.. and than stop charging. any idea what can be wrong?

if it's definately the power supply, would i need to buy the plug and also the cable to plug into the laptop?

thanks.

does that involve unscrewing any screws? if it does... no i havent because im afraid to take this thing apart

i have not heard of either of those things... so im guessing, i don't do that :\

Okay well do them both now. Neither involves unscrewing anything, thankfully. :)

The battery should be calibrated monthly to ensure it doesn't overcharge and subsequently lose capacity.

i can not do the second thing because the power supply is not working, it's not light or anything...

Wait, you're not even getting the orange light now? Does the little appendage on the adaptor look bent or something? Could you get hold of another adaptor? :)

hmm way back in the day... my mom bent the plugs... [hah] but it worked fineee for a year.. sometimes when i play with it... i will get the orange for about... 5 minutes and it turns off completely after that... i turn off the computer for a while... try it again... it will go on for 5 minutes... and shut off completely after that... etc etc

btw.. this is the only mac i have, and i unfortunately know... no body that has a mac, another adapter is out of the question
