I need a help with Powerpoint. I am slowly switching from PC to Mac, and currently trying to convert my powerpoint presentations. I expected the PC and Mac version of the Powerpoint to be similar, but it has quite a few differences.

Now I have trouble with .png files. I am creating line drawings in Adobe Illustrator and save them in png-24 format because it preserves the transparency (I need to overlay several pictures sometimes). This works great on PC, but on Mac the pictures look very blocky. Of course I can import it with the white background (then it will look smooth), but then I won't be able to overlay the images, so I prefer the drawings to have a trasparent background.

Also, in some pictures I use shadows - and then it looks even more disgusting.

So I basically have two questions:

1) Does anybody know how I can solve this problem in powerpoint (maybe a different file type will work better?)

2) Can anybody who has Apple Keynote try and see if this is also a problem there.

Basically, the test is simple. Go to Adobe Illustrator, draw a couple of lines (under some angle). Then Stylize-> Drop Shadow. Then File->Save for Web and choose png-24 format. Finally import it to Powerpoint and tell me if it looks good.

Thanks...
