I currently have a 10.5" iPad Pro that I purchased in July 2017. The battery life on it is not terribly good anymore and it was bent due to an accident. Everything works mostly, but the bend is bothersome and the battery is getting to the point of being unbearable. So I feel like I have some options to explore and I do not know which way to go.

1. Replace the battery. Will Apple replace it if there is damage to the iPad (there is no AppleCare on this one)?

2. Buy another 10.5". I am happy with this one and could save money by getting another 10.5". That would allow me to pass this one down to my kids whose iPad mini 2 recently lost its screen and is about done. The battery and bend won't be an issue for them.

3. Get an 11". Is the 11" a huge improvement over the 10.5"? Is it worth spending extra on?

4. Wait for the 2020 iPad Pro. I have been out of the loop. Is this expected to be a huge upgrade?

Also for reference, I have the Smart Keyboard and Pencil for the 10.5" which means I would have to rebuy them for a new form factor. I would rather not spend that kind of money.

Thanks for any help inadvance!

Do you have to have a pro? I think the Air 3 uses the Smart Keyboard from the 10.5 pro, and I know it uses the first gen pencil. I have an 11” pro and I bought my oldest grandson the Air 3 for his birthday - I really like it a lot.

Good question. I have not looked closely enough at the Air 3 to be able to properly answer that. Thanks for the suggestion!

I ended up going with the Air 3. It seems like a perfect update to my 10.5” Pro. I wanted to go with an 11” Pro but the added cost plus having to get a new keyboard and pencil really made it seem like a terrible value proposition.

Seems like a good choice!

Every person makes there I want decision when it comes to their technology for example I don’t think I could step down from The force speaker system 120 Hz refresh rate had an iPad that was close to dying I would use it till the very last possible day in March and hope that they release a new one if not I would just buy the 11 inch 2018 model with all the accessories I’m guessing 95% chance that the smart keyboard an Apple Pencil two will be the same for the next GEN of iPad pros good luck OP
