im new to HomeKit but I'm slowly building my products up. I have ecobee3 thermostat and some eve door/window sensors. I think there's a way to do this but I don't know enough about setting up scenes and triggers to figure this out. I want to increase the AC temp on my thermostat to let's say 84 degrees from 78/80 when the front door sensor is triggered to open. I want to do this so on cool evengings we can open up the house without worry the ac might happen to kick on. Thanks.

Here are the responses from the company

Eve elgato
You can set a trigger for when the Eve Door and Window is set to "Open", and you should be able to make changes to the Ecobee Thermostat based on this if it is fully HomeKit compatible. That said, because the Ecobee Thermostat is not our product and we are not aware of all its capabilities, you may wish to consult with the manufacturer of the thermostat on what the limits of their product are.

Here is ecobee
Our thermostat is homekit enabled, and the sensor can be used as a trigger however the sensor can be triggered in only one direction i.e.only if the unit detects occupancy.

But our thermostat is fully homekit compatible and hence triggers can be created to create the desired scene, but unfortunately we are not aware of the Eve sensor settings..
