Hi im new to this and hope ive posted in the right place...
So i have last years macbook pro and just signed up for shockwave unlimited, used to play it back when i had a pc and thought id give it a go to kill some boredom...
but for some reason i CANNOT seem to get the downloaded games to open or play on this thing and its driving me insane, surely macs cant be that backward? it must be me doing something wrong... it says i have the latest version of shockwave player/adobe... can someone help me before i trade this in for a windows laptop plzzzzzz???

I tried that one as well and it doesnt seem to want to go past the installation process... it says its installed, but comes up in my system as just the installer? when i try and download the downloaded game it tries to open with text, doesnt let me try anything else and when i try it manually, it wont work with anything else either... im not sure if im making any sense, im sorry, but its doing my head in lol ive tried the shockwave help section but doesnt seem to give me any options... =(

Shockwave is quite old, it has mostly been replaced by Flash, and the Shockwave version for Mac OS X is not compatible anymore with the current Mac OS X version.

Can you tell us, what game you play and maybe link to it and also provide more information about what Mac you use, what Mac OS X version is on it and what browser + version you use?

I didnt realise there was a different option for downloading, i just went with the link :S typical blonde female here, sorry.
would i be able to get away with using chrome, do u think? would it be the same thing? booting the windows thing seems quite complicated for my small brain =(

oh i just realised my blonde moment of confusing windows with explorer... lol oops... it really sucks. they shouldnt say on the shockwave website that u can play with mac if not all games are mac supported. =(

No. It is a downloadable game.

I didn't see the word Mac on the homepage, though the ONLINE GAMES can be played online, but the games in the DOWNLOAD GAMES section are for a specified OS only.

If you still have your old Windows PC, you can use that for playing that game, otherwise you will have to install Windows on your Mac.
