Help with SSD and Old Drive to External Setup

I would like to purchase an SSD HD for my OS, applications, and some data. (Any suggestions: 60-120GB).

I want to know what enclosures I can buy that I can put the hold Mac Mini drive in that would connect to the Mini with a fast Firewire cable. Also what software I can use to do a clean installation of my OS?

Slightly faster and much better support for Macs. They both use SF-1200 controller so the speed difference isn't huge but with OCZ, e.g. firmware updates are only for Windows.

Before doing a clean installation is there any formating I would have to do to the drive before the clean installation? No plans for Boot Camp.

yes just format it like a standard hdd use mac disk utility program to do so.
