Hi guys,

I have an existing Mini that has already been setup with all my data etc. what I want to do is clone this to a ssd and format the hdd to use that for time machine backups.

What would be the best way to do this?

OWC has great tutorials you can find at MacSales.com

Does not sound like you end much help. Clone, swap drives, done. I use a Crucial and don't use TRIM. The mini stays on all the time so there's plenty of idle time for garbage collection to do its thing.

Is the existing internal large enough for TM? I don't use TM but I think there's a need for more space than the internal.
