Hi - trying to build a simple shortcut to start the workout activity; I am getting an error "Remote User Isn't Registered".
Using PB5 on Iphone and Apple Watch is Series 1 model, on watchOS 6.2.8

any pointers for me to resolve this ? thx.

Have never seen anything like this. Going to assume that it may be beta related.

May be difference between old watch OS and newer IOS Beta ? Series 1 will not receive the newer watchOS version, so not sure if this will ever work or not.

What is the purpose for this shortcut? Starting workouts is so easy I think you're trying to add unnecessary complication.
Intent is to create a new time-based automation

everyday at 7:30 Am, prompt me for workout, turn-on the music and then start the first workout that I do - walking outside.
that was the intent; Probably an overkill i suppose.

Not overkill at all. Great idea.

You may be right about the type mismatch between the iOS beta and the watch version. However, I don't think that's intended, so the first thing I would do is report it as an iOS 14 bug in Feedback.

Have reported this ..

Surely looks like a bug now; I created a simple automation to start apple radio as soon as I start Workout, it worked just fine. Then, this one looks more to be a bug and not really an iOS and watchOS Version Mismatch.

Same issue. Did you find a solution?
Nope but, I got used to living with manually starting the workout and it starts my radio channel;
Very convenient as when I switch my workouts, it changes my channels as well -

Personally, I am thinking it may require a faster watch/WatchOS 7 for these to work better. My watch is too old, there will be limited things I can do with it.

I had the same error. I deleted the shortcuts app on my phone and re installed and it’s working fine now
