Help with Terminal - can't navigate to folder

Hi all,

I'm having a strange issue with Terminal.
I have to navigate to a folder which is on my Desktop:
- at command prompt I type cd Desktop and all good, I navigate to the Desktop;
- I type cd folderName and I get "No such file or directory".

The folder is clearly on my Desktop and if I type ls when I'm in Desktop the folder appears on the list.
I managed to navigate to this folder using terminal before. This problem started all of a sudden and I have no idea why.

If somebody could help it would be great. Thanks!

To quickly learn how to navigate select a folder in Finder and in Terminal type : cd and then drag that selected folder to Terminal window. This way you learn how to type out Terminal navigation!
