So my friend has asked me to unlock this iPhone 2G that he found on the ground. And since i'm the tech-geek of my friend group I agreed to help him. I've unlocked my iPhone 3G-S and iPhone 3G before so i'm not that noob-ish at this. But for some odd reason I can't get this damned 2G to unlock. >______>

So far i've installed blackra1n on it. I've also read about "BootNeuter". No luck.

Can anyone be kind enough to give me step by step instructions on how to unlock this 2G? :D

Use PwnageTool to create a custom IPSW from the latest firmware, restore from that IPSW in iTunes while the phone is in DFU mode (Restore mode if its been previously pwned/unlocked before)
Check the DevTeam site for instructions and updates.

2Gs are about the easiest thing to unlock. Run pwnagetool on your mac, check the few boxes to create an IPSW, then use the IPSW, its unlocked.
