Hi,

My 2017 MBP was previously working fine, however I've made a change recently (had it plugged into an external display for a couple of weeks in clamshell mode).

I've unplugged it today for the first time and the screen looks like this. The machine is largely unresponsive, and loops between this , the log-in or desktop.

I've tried an PRAM reset, and also SMC reset. Any ideas what the issue could be or how to resolve?

EDIT - after a few restarts. The machine works now in Clamshell mode, just as I have been using it for work. however the internal display is still very much flickering.....

Thanks in advance.

Does the ext display still look good?
Yes, ext display works fine. Has been working perfectly for last few weeks, it is only when I've unplugged it today that I've noticed the internal display issue.
