macOS help with Xcode 3.1

I am new to programming and have tried the tutorial that comes with Xcode 3.1; however, it was telling me to do thing that I couldn't. I think the tutorial was developed for 3.0. Can somebody please give me a step by step instruction on how to make a random, simple program for Xcode 3.1?

You must be more specific.

Why can't I see any download location for Xcode 3.1? All I see in the developer connection is Xcode 3.0!

I got 3.1 from http://developer.apple.com/iphone/program but that do you mean I need to be more specific? i just need step by step instructions on how to create a program, any simple program is fine, on Xcode 3.1 please help.

Copying code won't do a thing for you though. (And these are Mac Cocoa Applications, not iPhone Cocoa Touch Applications)

3.1 will be virtually identical to 3.0 so all tutorials will still work the same on both. Heck, even tutorials from 2.5 will work, but you have to look around a bit more. Good luck!

I think 3.1 comes with the iPhone SDK?

Download the iPhone SDK.

As for your request, you will need to learn a programming language. I assume you will want to learn Objective-C so this document will teach you everything you need to know to get up and running.
