I just bought my first Apple TV and I cannot get it set up. It will not let me sign in to my Apple account. I have entered it 6 times at least and it still will not log me in. Anyone else have this issue? Suggestions?

Have you made sure your caps lock isn't on?

Verify that you're entering the correct password and check for case sensitivity. Also ensure that you haven't locked the account with so many failed attempts.

Also make sure it indeed has internet connectivity. While it may sound obvious, you wouldn't be the first I'm sure...

I fixed it. I had to reset my internet. While I had service to my MBP it must not have recognized the Apple TV.

Can you use mirroring with a MBP or does it only work with iPad?

it's misleading, i had bumped an ethernet cable out when i was setting mine up, the error message is very misleading, says something about an invalid password, doesn't mention that it can't communicate with apple to verify that password which is why it's invalid.

the next version of OS X has mirroring, but for now, only iPad.

Bummer. Thanks for the help.
