Have you tried wiping the phone clean and restoring with your iCloud account?

I can't say for certain, but it's worth a try. It just seems that the phone got stuck removing the account. What I would do is turned of FMi in your account then run the Serial through Apple's database and see if it shows as being locked or not. Click here for the official Apple page. Note that it will only work on desktop OSes (Windows, OS X, etc). Can't make any guaranties though.

Well I ment format it to factory settings not recorvery mode. So I don't think you would get locked out but possibly it will ask for their iTunes account or something like that. Do you have any other device you can restore on? I think the only problem would be if your iCloud account got "linked" with the other one. But if you can restore on some other device no problem I don't see why you wouldn't be able to on this one.

You stole it. It's activation locked.

Good luck x

ACTUALLY?? I DID NOT steal my iPhone, it was sold to me by my significant others baby cousin, An wasnt told they didnt get the chance to delete the Apple ID/icloud accounts off but i am still able to have my apple id account n icloud home sharing, etc etc. I asked for the password for it n she claimed she neeeded it in person in order to do it for me, which the history with this person i have is shady an untrustworthy ... felt like since i was still able to use it normally with the info on it that i didnt wanna risk her pulling something and keeping my phone
