Helvetica Documentary - Now Showing On Google Video

Cheers. Without a telly, I wasn't sure when I was going to see it. I shall tuck myself into bed tonight with the little MacBook, some cashew nuts and a glass of wine, and spend it in the company of 1950s Swiss typography. 
Is there a way to download it so I don't have to watch it in the browser window? Or, even better, so I can put it on my iPod touch?

I'm about an hour in also, sometimes I really wish I chose a different route and went into something like this rather than just going down the easy science route.
What was that app right near the beginning that they guy uses to demonstrate the differences between serif and sans serif etc.
Not entirely sure, but something along the lines of FontLab Studio, specialist software for type designers.
Had to laugh when Michael C. Place was talking about designing wedding invitations... every word is true; extremely difficult to do in terms of managing client expectations.

Yeah, the inking up and the drawings...
It also made me realise and remember where my design education started and later in the documentary, which supposedly opposite 'approaches' were seen as valid for any design problem by a given generation of designers. I've fallen in between two camps, being taught by people who were themselves by people who taught at the Bauhaus, then got waylaid into corporate design and publishing where you could only break the rules if you really understood them. A lot of my stuff these days isn't what you could call 'fresh' in the slightest...
Really has put me into a reflective mood. I also want a 30" ACD now, too.

I had no idea it was up there illegally... didn't give it too much thought.
Still, I enjoyed it and really, good as it is as a documentary, I don't think it bears repeated viewing more than once or twice... most of the good historical info in there is in the public domain, anyway.
