Wow, the iPad Air 2 is still supported? Is it holding the record for the longest supported iDevices so far?

I’m tempted to update my iPad Pro to the 2020 version, especially now that there has been no iMac announced. But with iPadOS 14 supporting my 2017 12.9” iPad Pro, I’m not sure if there’s any point.

at this rate A10X will probably get IpadOS 20... (and I am not even joking)

for me personally, other than the design, the new Apple Pencil and the Magic Keyboard, there really isn’t any need for me to upgrade to the 2020 iPad Pro. With rumours of them updating it to an A14X chip and mini-LED I’ll probably be better to just wait. With iPadOS 14 supporting my iPad Pro 2017, im likely to get every feature that was shown off today, unless the new Pencil features are limited to the 2nc gen only.

No, the pencil features will work with any pencil, but pencil 2 is so much nicer... I had bought one used before returning my 11 pro and still have it ready for when I upgrade... As for the keyboard I am using the logitech combo touch... with my 12.9 first gen, it works great.... So I don't even miss the magic keyboard.... My first gen 12.9 and second gen 10.5 are still perfectly fine till at least 2021...

I'm very pleased. My kids both are still using iPad Air 2s (which are the hand-me-downs from us parents). For their usage, the iPad Air 2 is definitely sufficient.

iPadOS 13 is very rough around the edges with mouse support and external drive support. I hope to see them much improved in iPadOS 14.
