Well, it's pretty much the end of the line for my 2012 quad-core i7 Mac Mini. But anyways later this year once I've gotten a decent I.T. job I will buy a new 13" MacBook Pro to replace my late 2009 MacBook, so I can have a Mac that runs Mac OS 11 Big Sur, and keep using the Mac Mini and Mac OS 10.15 Catalina for another year or two until I'm ready to buy a nice new quad or six-core Mac Mini, preferably once a version with one of the the new Apple Silicon processors comes out. If Apple's transition is going to be gradual, then my transition can also be gradual.
o man what used to be our brand new late 2013 mbp is now on the edge of support! i expect the next one or two releases to have the same support but once the transition is done all intel macs will be left behind. at least they can run other mainstream operating systems though; they'll maintain value a lot better than the powerpc macs did. but people who need to develop for the latest apple platforms might have to buy a new mac within the next couple years...
Looks like the last update for my late 2013 13" MacBook Pro, but that's Ok - I never updated to Catalina anyway and probably won't update to Big Sur. Mojave does everything I need and still runs my 32 bit apps. Honestly, I don't really see any benefit to Mojave over High Sierra, either. Once they stop doing security updates I guess I'll have to reevaluate, but I should have a while left on that.
