1. If I hold down on an icon at the moment, then it and all the other icons wiggle, get an X in the upper corner and can be deleted or moved around.

2. My first page is blank and then the following pages have all my apps arranged alphabetically (or there is one page of folders where each folder is a letter or letters of the alphabet). I never touch an icon to access it, I swipe down from the top and search for it. My next question is, if I hold down on an icon in the search results, will I also get the list of options?

These are no doubt stupid questions and I am sorry in advance!

A long hold will be different than a Force Touch.

Thank you.

And my second question?

No one really knows at this point. It's a good question but I'm really guessing it won't do anything within search results. I'd be surprised if I'm wrong.

I'd submit feedback to Apple and it's highly likely we could see that in whatever they call iOS X.

But hey they could always surprise us but just betting like every year they had their hands full with the things they've already highlighted along with the API's they've opened up

As a side note since there is an API for this functionality maybe it is possible. Guess it depends on how they've laid that feature out code wise.

Thanks for the lovely reply. I think you are right... and I am puzzled as what to do now because I always access my apps through searches, swipe down in the middle of the page and beginning typing the app name.
