Heres a Odd Question on the PS3 and iMac as a monitor

Hi all.

The resoultion on my 21.5 mid 2010 iMac is amazing. Would love to use it with a PS3. Question is How?

Has anyone tried hooking up a PS3 to iMac for video and sound ?

You might not like it so much with a ps3 connected. Even though ps3 advertises their games as 720p and 1080p, they're almost always upscaled from a lower resolution. For instance, most 720p games on a ps3 are really 540p.

Hmm well thats something to think about. I was hoping to use it with the mac due to the high Res

This topic has spawned many threads on here and the general consensus is that is not worth it and/or not possible because any solution would be quite expensive and would lag an unacceptable amount for playing games.

I never thought of Lag. Excellent point. Thank You all.

I think I may have to go another route.
