Do every mbp 16" has this issue or is just a few unlucky ones? I'll return it if it can be patched which is a shame because I'm really loving this machine otherwise.

It happens at any output bit rate and SMC PRAM reset doesn't solve it.

I noticed this issue too. It's pretty annoying when trying to edit video/audio on fcpx. Hopefully they'll be able to patch this with software. I suspect it has something to do with the new speakers that dampens the vibration.

Does it happen with headphones or external speakers? IF not, that really narrows it to the new built-in speakers, and not a software issue.

My 2016 MacBook 15" made popping noises due to heat expansion. I had to live with it.

Apple changed all components (display, logic board, keyboard, battery ...etc) and they couldn't figure out what is wrong.

I didn't have the audio/speaker one.

My buddy's loaded 2018 6 core model does this too, except when scrubbing clips in Premiere Pro.

It's gotta be a macOS thing rather than a hardware thing I would think. His MBP is not on Catalina though so whatever it is did not change with the new update.

I don’t see what the problem with the popping audio noise is...

It’s not like a MacBook Pro is designed to be used by video and audio editors or anything
