My custumer service rep. called this morning about the new 1.67 powerbooks, after my 1.0 ghz 256mb, 60g powerbook is being replaced. At first a 1.5ghz model was ordered but now he put in a request for a 1.67 ghz pb.!!! Although my gig of ram i purchased wouldnt work, id max it out, only 250$ at crucial and enjoy a brand new updated machine, no biggie, sell the other stick on ebay.

So cross your fingers, I hope a hi rez models on theway !!

Yeah, A few weeks ago i sent it in for my firth repair, where my failed harddrive was replaced along with many other problems to fix. A screen issue wasnt resolved, so they asked to send it in a 6th TIME!, so i told them no, ive had enough, my issue hasnt been resolved, and i purchased apple care, and i need a reliable comptuer, and how much this is a disappointment, i got angry, firm, emotional LMAO, and i got to a specialist, and he set up a repair,, now he calls every day with whats going on. Damn weekend, ill get it monday.:D

They hate replacing them, i own 3 other macs, and this one was a lemon, i dont hate apple anymore, now there treating me well.

I would think that after the third they should have offered a replacement. Although y=in your case the timing worked out perfect to get the latest PowerBook. Bring firm and polite usually works.

What are the three other Mac's that you own?
