Hey Siri work with AirPods?

I’ve looked online and can’t find a straight answer. Some people say it works now and some people say it’s an incoming feature with the AirPods 2.0...release date TBD.

You have to double tap and AirPod in order to have Siri listen.

The only way to invoke Siri, is by double tapping as the other poster mentioned. It has been rumored for a future AirPod model that ‘Hey Siri’ will be a hands-free option without double tapping with microphone enhancements. The AirPods are rumored to be released in 2019 for version two.

I sincerely hope Siri (with all the voice variance setup) learns the device owners voice and responds ONLY to them not someone else.

I just tried it and it worked fine on my AirPods....I am running OS12 beta.

Just saying "Hey, Siri" is hit and miss with AirPods and 8+. Works every time with iPP. Both on iOS 12 DB3.
