I can’t seem to get Hey Siri to work.

I turn the option on and it says to say “Hey Siri” but it is not detecting voice.

If I go into a text message and use dictation it picks up my voice no problem.

Any idea what’s up?

Thanks

are you covering the front of the phone?

also, have you tried disabling and re-enabling Siri? (settings --> siri --> first toggle at the top)

Not covering anything with my hands and Ive tried toggling all options in Siri.

Did you set up Hey Siri to recognize your voice? I remember doing this when I first turned on Hey Siri and my phone only recognizes when I say "Hey Siri" and ignores it when other people say it.

I think that first part is what OP is trying to set it up to do. but the problem is that it's not accepting first "hey siri" to register the voice.

that is were I am now but it doesn't hear me for some reason. If I go into a text messege and to text dictation it hears me and types what I am saying not Siri can't hear me.

Do you have Low Power Mode enabled? Have you tried restarting your phone? Does Siri hear you and work fine if you enable it manually?

same deal for me see above..."hey siri" turns itself off when I go to set up??? there for no voice for the set up option.???
