Hi all.

Sorry I havn't taken the time to lurk a bit befor posting but this thing is bugging me.

I have an iMac G5 (brand spankers it is too!) and I know that there should be some sort of office program, word processing, spread sheets etc, but where?

Where do I look, what do I look for?

Sorry to be a compleat prat but I have a sort of hate- hate relationship with BoG's and have managed in the two weeks I have had this "thing " to compleatly balls it up twice so I have had to re-install everything.

Ps. Wheres the spell checker?

AppleWorks is fairly basic and old but has all the usual features.

You should also have trial versions of iWork and Microsoft Office - if you find AppleWorks too primitive then give those a go and decide if you want to buy those programs.

Unfortunately, the only word processor that comes for free is TextEdit, which is annoying to say the least. However, in your Applications folder there should be a trial version of Microsoft Office that you can use until you get your hands on a full program.

To turn on spell checking in Safari, ctrl+click, choose spelling, and choose to check spelling as you type.

NeoOffice is a free full featured version of Open Office for Mac.:)
OpenOffice.org or NeoOffice were going to be my suggestions, if you want something free and powerful.
