I'd like to keep PDF/large JPG images on my iphone for reference when I'm out. For example, I need a subway map for quick reference. The problem is that when I add it to the iphone it gets compressed down so much I can't read anything. If I pull the map up online (from a web site) through safari the detail is all there. The problem is I don' t have access to the edge network when I'm down in the subway. Is there anyway I can choose to not have the image scaled down on the iphone and have the full res photo transferred for my viewing?

thanks,

John

yeah but the detail isn't there, if i zoom in i can't really read anything. But if i pull the JPG from the web using Safari it's fine. Essentially i want the full uncompressed JPG on my phone, why is that so hard?
