Don't know if this is the appropriate place to create such a thread but here it goes.

Just got my MacBook yesterday and have been marvelled by OS X and the computer itself. Everything feels great. The keyboard is very nice contrary to some reviews i've seen. The only lack should be the sound altough in a small room it plays nicely. I'll be sticking with the default 512 Mb of RAM as of one I'm sort of broke.

I used OS X in my previous Wintel machine for about 2 months and I was more or less familiarized with the system. The experience is uncomparable as to running a legit OS X system or a hacked one.

I just wanted to say I to everyone and be hoping to participate in this wonderful community.

yah, a hacked version to run on Wintel doesn't compare to the real OSX on a Mac...

I have 512mb in mine and it runs fine. I don't do anything too heavy with it but email, internet, word, iphoto, itunes. Welcome and enjoy!

Thank you Jah...I'm so Blessed
Enjoy your new Macbook but I would say you should get more RAM when you get some money because over time you will feel the slow down.

Enjoy and we sure do enjoy pictures of computer setups but no toilet seats please:)

Bless

Hi there, i'm also new to the mac world... a year back i ran mac osx on pearpc, very very slow. 1.5 week ago, i bought myself a mac, never thought it would be easy to install things and such. Infact, it's even simpeler then windows.. i like osx now, never gonna switch back cuz i love it. I installed boot camp last week and after a day (with 30 mins of use in windows), i deleted it. it was crap :) and with that said, i welcome you to our dreamworld!!! :)

Enjoy your new Mac and using your legit OS X. I too recommend getting more ram as soon as you can manage to. I've got 2GB in mine and it's great.

Don't pay too much attention to the naysayers, my white MB has been a real trouper and I've not regretted owning it since the day I bought it. Although I am champing at the bit for Adobe CS3 to be released.
