Help! I've got a video clip stuck in my iOS 5 device. I shot a handful of clips with the camera app, then imported with Image Capture and had it delete everything. Now, Image Capture on the mac, and the Photos app on the device are both saying the device is empty, however when iMovie is running and the device is connected, iMovie wants to import this "ghost" video. Unfortunately I can't find a way to delete it with iMovie; I just don't see that option anywhere.
I first noticed this issue because I saw 1 gig of "Other" data in the iTunes summary page for my device and I think I know what happened... I was shooting video clips on the device when it filled the RAM and interrupted my last recording session with a "device memory full" error. Apparently that video that video I was in the middle of shooting never got finalized and is stuck in the cache somewhere... and only iMovie can see it.
Any ideas? I've scoured the web but couldn't find any reference to this issue. Thanks!

Maybe I just have to go through the long process of a complete "restore" on the device?

Short of doing a vanilla restore and manual re-sync (since a backup might contain the corrupted video cache), you could try manually hunting for it.

1) Download iExplorer. You don't have to be jailbroken to access your user data (but being jb'ed allows you to access all of the filesystem).

2) Browse through folder where you think it might be, like:

Media/DCIM/100APPLE/
Media/PhotoData/Caches
Media/PhotoData/Videos
Media/PhotoData/Metadata/DCIM/100APPLE

...and anywhere else you think. I wouldn't know right off it would even be in those folders, so just search around. You might or might not be able to find it, but it's worth a look before you do a complete restore.
