More and more sites I visit request or require that you unblock ads. Is there and ad blocking program or system the still hides but the site won't know.

There would have to be an app made for that, might be a good idea. Basically load a placeholder in place of the ad or video ad.

Haven't been seeing that. AdGuard Plus (and others) have a filter to allow or block self-promotion, search and cookie alerts.

I know certain adblockers on desktop OS’s have something to block the adblock detection, so it might be possible. I’m not aware of any existing solutions for iOS, though.

Not 100% foolproof. The block checker checks for an asset in the ad payload which if not present means the AD was blocked.
