Hey guys,

I have an iPhone 5 and there is an app called McTube Pro that I DO NOT want to update... (afraid of losing background streaming)

Is there a jailbreak way of hiding the app update in App Store???? (Any non-jailbreak method as well?) (Previously you can just swipe and hide it in iOS 5... but now you can't in iOS 6)

Thank you for your help!

Alternatively you can try ProTube Extensions from Cydia - it used to be pretty useless but recently it added background streaming and it keeps streaming when pressing the home button.

Looking for this for MCTube Pro too so here's a bump.

Maybe save the old ipa and side load with ifile?

I'm not sure but can you go to var/mobile/applications, search the specific app and edit the version number in the iTunesMetadata.plist? a simple plist hack works to make the phone believe it's on a newer firmware, so that might work too...?

I suggest against this as its just risky and could prevent you from future updates coming through correctly.
