Hi

Is it possible to hide the toolbar in safari? (The one with the url bar)
Having the tabs is useful but don't like the toolbar as it takes up to much space, and I can enter a URL with cmd+L anyway, so no need for it!!

Many thanks
James

In view menu, is option something like always show toolbar checked? (It should be 1st option or two)

Have you tried going fullscreen? This is a prerequisite for the above.

In view menu there is 'always show toolbar in fullscreen', but when I use fullscreen I don't have that on.

I'm wanting to get rid of the URL bar, and still see the tab bar (either in full screen, or not).
Currently what I do, is go into fullscreen and then cmd+sft+arrow keys to switch between tabs, which works as more screen space - just would really still like to see my tabs bar.

Just wanting to see if I can just see my tabs bar, and no url bar.

Maybe its just not possible to to only see the tab bar, and hide the URL bar (even in full screen)

AFAIK:
With Safari, you really have two choices: full screen and hide it all or windowed and see it all.

If you must have that degree of customization, you need to switch browsers.

Ah yeah I feared that would be the case, no worries. I switched from chrome to safari roughly 4 years ago and haven't looked back, I'll manage lol :) thanks though
