Is there anyway to shut off hide my whatever. I have it on my wife's phone and don't want her to be able to see all my devices. I like that you use to be able to switch what device that shows up, but I don't see that option anymore. I also don't want all my stuff showing up on each others.

Make a new Apple ID for her.

OP is correct, the new behavior is different. If both Apple IDs are connected via family sharing then all devices on all IDs are visible using the new “find my” app.

There does not seem to be a way to filter this at all.

You used to be able to tell the find my friends app which one of your various devices should represent you on the map but now it just exposes all of them.

Yeah, and now instead of saying cannot find you it says person is not sharing location... I went in and shut off sharing locations in family sharing to see what happens but I don't want her to see me use her phone to check what it shows.

Think you might need to work on your relationship!

You still can do this to a degree. So I have my find my location default to my iPhone but then I switch it off on all of my other devices. Which results in my partner only being able to see my iPhone.

The downside of that is if I loose those other devices I can’t track them
