Hello,

I used to use a great little app called Bartender to hide or show the menu bar. I used this for public use machines, kiosks, etc.

I now have an OS X machine in public use and would like to again remove the menu bar from view. Bartender has not been updated in forever (didn't need to be, just worked) and I can't seem to find a similar app for OS X.

Any ideas?!?

Thanks!!

dont' you mean Barmaid? i've used this with Panther (10.3.3) with not too many problems. what it does is emulate the DVD Player.app how it hides it's menubar when in fullscreen. so if you try to open DVD Player when using Barmaid it will cause some issues. apart from that it worked mostly okay when i was using it.

http://homepage.mac.com/codywalton/fark/Barmaid.ape.zip <- Download link just in case you want to try it out. (also, i haven't tried that link for a couple of months. hope it still works.)

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick responses. I will be running FileMaker Pro, most of the menu options are locked out via FMP's controls, but there are just enough enabled to cause problems.

I've tried out Barmaid, but am having problems getting it to work.
