Hiding the text of the mail or SMS send by the Iphone

setting the autolock will prevent people from looking at your iPhone and turning off the preview for text messages will prevent them from showing up

If you just mean the text in the pop-up alert. That can be changed in the iPhone settings.

Settings -> Messages -> Show preview = Off

Don't think you can do it for mail though.

There is no app that locks the Messages app, by that I mean it asks for a password when you launch the app or even hides the app's icon. Have you tried his suggestion to see if that does a little of what you need?
