I tried out a scaled resolution on my 27" Thunderbolt display to see what it was like, I have bad eyesight, but the largest option is the 2x option of 1280x720 scaled, and my eyes can do a bit better than that. On the retina Macbook Pro you're given a few bigger options, but not here with the Thunderbolt display. Does anyone know a bit of a hack to enable say, 1600x900 scaled resolution? That would be perfect for me.

The HD4000 is dealing with my 13" MBA's display and this scaled resolution pretty well too.

Thanks

Bump. 1600x900 scaled HIDPI would be awesome for me too.

Anyone know of a way?

I think Apple also has to supply the apt icons and others for each mode. That's why its limited.

Just tried it on my iMac and sad to say I got what you got. I Wish there was a little higher res but lower than the max, would be perfect.
