iPod High Def TV shows: change to playback abilities?

I just downloaded ER one hour retrospective from Itunes in HD. When I try to play it back it will not allow it saying I need a HDCP connection. I thought there might have been something specific about the program so I tried to play a previous Itunes HD Dexter program and got the same warning. I never saw this before when playing the Dexter program in what I thought was HD.

Is there a new policy in effect at Apple and if so why no warning?

Any insight from the forum would be appreciated.

By the way I am using a Mac Pro 2.66 with a Dell 3007WFP monitor.
