iPod touch High end alternatives to iPod?

How are you?
I am wondering if anyone here has moved from an iPod touch alone or in a combo with external amps or dacs to a single box high end player, like a sony ZX1, ibasso dx100, dx50...

How do you compare the sound quality of those options?
And what are your feelings on this?

Archons and Cowon are the preferred brands among some audiophiles for their legendary sound quality but they're terrible in terms of UI and apps and such. For just music though they're great.

I myself have a Samsung P2 and P3 and they sound way, way better than anything Apple has ever shipped, but have tragic UIs.

You can find some thorough reviews on http://www.head-fi.org/products/category/digital-audio-flac-mp3-players

I've had urges for some of those but I fear that like mK says, most of them have terrible UI:s. If that's no bother to you though, and if your wallet is happy, I can see some of those being pretty awesome. Along with very good quality headphones of course, otherwise there's no real point to pay big $$$ for superior out sound.
