Mail screwed up....in box of seen emails does not work
No audio from my speaker...yes I checked all the preferences
Safari does not display pages completely..
This site is MacRumors and it very little of it is about Mac
and I don't see much critical views of High Sierra at all.
Perhaps this site is better titled AppleRumors??

Weird because I have it on a mid-2010 15", late 2011 15", mid-2013 MBA, early 2015 MBA, late 2013 13" MBP, late 2011 13" MBP, and a mid-2012 13" MBP.

I installed High Sierra on all these machines for relatives. I kept each machine for about 3 to 4 days and used each one for a few hours. Office 2011 and NTFS for Mac v14 were the only programs on each machine. They all boot High Sierra in about 10 to 15 seconds with no problems in Mac Mail or safari.
 
Upgrade frustrations are never fun :(

For the most part most Users have seemed to have a smooth experience with High Sierra updates - I was expecting it to be chaotic given how significant a file system change is, but thus far most customers I've interacted with who have upgraded are having good experiences with occasional exceptions - in most cases, a fresh install resolved those issues.

When you did the install did you do an in-place upgrade or a fresh install? Have you tried the fresh install yet? Does this Mini have an internal HDD (with HFS+) or SSD (with APFS)? Have you tried any of the repair features yet?
 
I have a 2012 Mini. I downloaded and installed High Sierra over my existing system. Proved to be very very slow, lots of spinning beach balls, and long boot times. I did a clean install, and now things work good. I'm a non tech type, and use my Mini for basic things-surfing, email, quickbooks, photos.
I used CCC for my back up, it makes a bootable backup, and you can erase and install from your external backup disc.

I did not erase the HD before...actually I was trying to re-install my current OS but Apple decided that it would not be permitted ...that I MUST install High Sierra....I now have to go on line to get my mail on iCloud....my Apple mail is now useless. It should be technology malpractice not to be sure Apple mail works before they put this OS out for people to use.

Tried to go back to older OS...instructions from some self-appointed expert in the UK publishes way to do it....it totally FAILED...tried to use my Time Cap to do a back up to see if my old OS is there but Apple decided that I must, yes MUST use my password and wanted it but made sure I could not see it....so I was unable to satisfy the demands for the damn password....what is the logic behind NOT letting me see the password they are demanding...I do not work for the FBI, NSA, Army etc....what is the logic behind this obsession with passwords...?

Cannot....High Sierra not compatible with two of my back up Apps....This makes me angry....we may have paid for our Mac computer but Apple controls it and determines what we can and cannot do.

How does that follow? If you have some software application that's incompatible with High Sierra, don't upgrade. Wow, that was hard.

Perhaps if you read my post, you might understand...I did NOT want to upgrade but just reinstall my current OS but apple decided I was not going to do that and insisted in upgrade to the new OS.

No, actually, that's not how it works. You run the Sierra installer, it installs Sierra. THAT'S how it works.

Thank you for the straight story... Windows 10 did that to XP users a while back and fists flew! Apple don't "Need" us to upgrade.."We Want To..." especially when it's free.

Correct. Just like Apple MacRumors does not care very much about Macs and macOS. It's all toys, trinkets and phones.
