Hi,

Sorry to trouble you, but I wish to delete everything securely from my old Mac Pro 3,1s Crucial SSD and hard disk before doing a clean install, so I can sell the machine. I've searched Google and also this site to find how to do this so that nothing can ever be retrieved, and am still somewhat at a loss. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

Many thanks,

Mike.

Change diskXX to the correct DiskIdentifier (disk0, disk1, disk2, diskXX)

For your hard disks:

Code:
diskutil list
diskutil secureerase 4 diskXX

For your SSDs:

Code:
diskutil list
diskutil secureerase 1 diskXX

Thank you very much for that, greatly appreciated! Just hope I'm deleting the right drive! Haha...
