Hi I have a 5,1 Mac Pro that has been modified for boot rom 144.0.0.0.0. Recently I had some trouble with my machine and reinstalled Sierra but when I go to install high Sierra I get the message in the pic "Your computer is missing firmware". I used to use Mojave so I don't understand why I can't reinstall High Sierra. Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

I do have NVMe Drives and I do believe I loaded EFI for them. I have tried installing with NVMe drives disconnected as well but that doesn't work either. I am not sure what SMBIOS spoofing is, please explain if you don't mind. I am using a Highpoint ssd 7110 for my NVMe and raid if that helps.

If you injected the NVMe EFI module inside the BootROM, you did a mess. Did you really did it?
What’s your current BootROM version?

Did you used OpenCore/Clover/or some hacked/patched install?

Is there a way to reflash the boot rom?

I’m not positive that I injected nvme module.

Make a createinstallmedia HighSierra USB installer for 10.13.6, remove all drives except a SATA drive and see if you can do a clean install.

Download from Apple, use the links from the first post of the sticky:

Please try to install High Sierra inside the High Sierra RECOVERY PARTITION (not the normal OS desktop).

I stumbled upon an old hitachi drive that had high sierra installed on it and it booted fine so I cloned to my NVMe. I couldn't get the install to work but thank heavens I had the old drive and Thank You so much for all the help!
