Hi there,
I would really like to get High Sierra running on my Macbook Pro 13,3inch from 2018 (mbp version 15,2). I would like to gift it to my stepdad who needs this MacOS for his software..
The macbook came with Mojave originally.

I have searched and found ways on this forum, downloaded phython script and have a USB stick as a bootable drive with Install_macOS_10.13.6-17G66

Can this work somehow? I managed to allow booting from a usb drive, switched off all security.
But booting from the drive leads to the not allowed/not working icon ( a circle with a line going throug it)

The build 17G2112 is what I understood I would need, but I can´t find it nowhere on the web. The phython script lets me download the 17G66 and a 10.13.5 beta version, but not the 17G2112

Please help, it would be amazing!

There is some confusion on the actual MBP that you have. A Macbook Pro 13,3 is a 15" 2016 MBP not a 2018. It was originally released with macOS 10.12.1 (16B2659 - a special build with drivers to support the new Macbook Pro 13,3) and will support up to current macOS (Monterey).

Build 17G2112 was a special 10.13.6 with drivers to support the newly released 2018 MBP.

New release builds include drivers for new hardware that are not available to download. The next general macOS release would include the drivers to support the new hardware.
Example: Macbook Pro 13,3 macOS 10.12.1 (16B2659 special build). The next general release of 10.12.2 and all other builds thereafter would include support Macbook Pro 13,3.

If you have a Macbook Pro 13,3, then you should be able to install any version of High Sierra (10.13.6 is the version available for download).

Here is a link to an Apple Support page that has a link to download High Sierra:

I am sorry, I meant 13,3 inch MBP.
It is a version 15,2

Thanks for the link.
When I open the High Sierra link for the app store on the old Macbook Pro, it says update not found.
On my new m1 mac, it only say "not compatible with this device"

Thanks for the update.

That is unfortunate timing. The 10.13.6 Build 17G2112 was a special build for the release of the new 2018 MBP and was never available for download. I do not know of a way to make the downloadable 10.13.6 work with your MBP since it will not include the hardware drivers needed.

Mojave 10.14.0 and above would be the next macOS that would include the hardware drivers for your MBP.

somewhere
I believe I've got it somewhere on my massive long term file storages, I used to work on IT and restored quite a few of those A1990 to High Sierra, if I find it, I'll upload it.
