I had a rev A mba which I gave up due to the loose hinge. The screen would go back with the smallest jerk. And the screen also had quite a bit of play to it. Made me feel that my laptop would break any minute. Do the same problems exist with the rev B too?

I never seen this issue on 2x Rev. A and my current Rev. C?

Many people use those cases then blame Apple. In another thread there is a post pushing a lock "solution" that looks as if it could bust a hinge within days. I am sure Apple is looking for those signs before offering a free warranty replacement for a broken hinge. I suspect it's a big part of the problems.

I haven't personally experienced significant play nor any sounds from my MBA. Actually I have owned three MBAs and never noticed it. I guess some of us are just lucky.

I have a rev. B and the hinge is alright

The hinge is only loose due to the extra weight of the Speck SeeThru hardcase, but only when the hardcase is on, everything was alright when the MBA is naked

Since AAPL now official recognise the hinge issue, why don't the OP bring the MBA to the Apple Store and have a quick check?

I have never faced this issue in any of my various MBAs. However, there are tons of people claiming that we will face it no matter how much care we take of our little babies.
