Is it me or has the battery life been affected by lion? 15 minutes of light browsing at medium brightness with no flash brings my battery from 100 to 91. ouch.

Ive honestly notice my battery draining 2...
But I've never heard my fans turn on when I'm simply web browsing..
Currently I can hear my fans and there running pretty fast..

What i have open?
Macrumors
Facebook
MSN..

Is this how its always going to be?
If so I hope the new MBA have a lot better battery

Open activity monitor and see if any processes are running in the background that are using large amounts of your cpu.

Also, you can download coconut battery to see what condition your battery is in.

Have also noticed that my battery life is so much less now. Before I upgraded, I was getting roughly 5-6 hours. Now, I'm getting about 3.5 hours...

My batt capacity is down to 86% apparantly after 273 load cycles.

Looking in activity monitor, I have an app called sandboxd, that ranges in cpu usage between 25%-50%...

Any idea what this is? Is this normal?

My battery life has also suffered with Lion (MBP 13" 2010). I'm easily losing 1 -2 hours with identical settings compared to Snow Leopard. But I don't see that application running at all. The difference my also be somewhat due to lack of compatibility with CoolBook, which I used to reduce voltages substantially in 10.6.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

My batter performance is slightly better Im using mbp "13 mid 2010 with lightly browsing with safari

I'm pretty sure my battery life has decreased as well. I opened my Macbook Pro 13" 2010 at 80% and I'm down to 44% within about an hour and a half. Used to get 5 hours on a good day.

What's been opened:
- Safari (either gmail or macrumors)
- Mail
- Two excel spreadsheets
- iTunes (was downloading rental movie, but has been done for the past hour)
- UWorld Qbank

Screen brightness is at max (hate having a dimly lit screen).

In the activity monitor, nothing seems be using more than 3% of the CPU. I currently have 8gb of RAM in. Installed my own RAM around Christmas. That could be draining the battery life as well.

There's a lot of factors that go into making a diagnosis as to why the battery isn't lasting long (mine has about 80% of life left the last time i checked).

Just an FYI, my my battery life percentage dropped 2% in typing this post.

My First Bug? Networking

Installed GM on MacBook and 3.06GHz iMac. I can share screens between them, but can only see the Macbook Files/Folders on the iMac. Not the other way around. Just get the dreaded "Connection Failed". Worked perfect before upgrade.

I have enabled File sharing on both computers.

Sorry tried to delete.

I haven't noticed much of a difference. Maybe 20-30 minutes less compared to what I was getting in Snow Leopard.
