Hitachi HD in new Quad Core iMac 27" issues?

Has anyone had any problems with the Hitachi HDS722020ALA330 2TB HD in the new 27" QuadCore? I had real serious lagging when typing. Ran Onyx which told me that my drive needed repair. Did that, and seemed to improve for a while. Any suggestions on tests I can run to see where the problems might be? It also seems to be an issue with web pages loading.

Couldn't you just run the Apple Hardware Test?

Boot from the install cd. Run disk utility.
