HK Soundsticks II Advice please

Hi, my first post....and its a question. I have just bought a set of the above on ebay. I will be using them in my caravan while away at weekends with my family. I want to run them off 12v ie car battery. Has anyone got a set of these? If so could you please tell me the power output of the power supply. I have a feeling they are 16v, if so then I will need a converter. Any information would be greatly appreciated, I would be able to go out and buy the converter tomorrow and be ready for the arrival of the speakers.

Why don't you just get a cheap cigarette lighter inverter or such?

I have an inverter but would be wasteful of the battery and also causes a small amount of hum.
