HL2 Episode 2 Performance on MBP 8600m GT

1) Performance is flawless. The system just has to get used to the resources it loads. After a few times starting up, it ran very smoothly. Very playable. I get about 100-140 fps.

2) I'm still on bootcamp 1.4, my UTD hasn't arrived. Nonetheless, I have all my settings on High (2x AA, trilinear filtering, HDR) and it looks great. Only one problem with fog, it looks greyish-blue, but should be fine with Leopard Boot Camp drivers.

3) 2.2ghz, 2gb ram, 128mb 8600m gt

why don't you just find out benchmarks of the 8600GT for HL2 EP2? it would be pretty much the same as the 8600m GT ~ maybe lower but its the same GPU but optimized for a laptop.

and given the source engine was built on a DX9 level and the 8600 is a "mid-range" DX10 card, it would run all if not most current games very well.
