As title says.. I have some save game files from windows that I would like to play on mac now.. Is it possible?

I think It should work seamlessly.

Using the SteamCloud system you don't have to care where the savegames are. It automatically upload your window savegame to use it in your mac

I dont think the steamcloud existed at the time I played half life 2 in windows..

And i dont want to install boot camp just to upload the windows save games to the steamcloud..

isnt the save games located locally anymore?

There's a folder called "save" somewhere in My Documents/Steam Content/username/game-name (or something! not at the right mac to check)

Which you should be able to swap out for the one from Windows in Program Files/Steam/blah/

Presumably they'll still work anyway. :)

Thanks.. that did the job :)

For reference (the one for MacOS was a little hard to find), the precise paths for me were:

MacOS:
/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/username/half-life 2/hl2/SAVE

Windows:
/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/username/half-life 2/hl2/SAVE
