Looks like Apple has started making their caveats with software more obvious. From the OS X 10.2 page:

"Features or content provided by Sherlock may change or be discontinued at any time."

After the switch from iTools, that phrase now bothers me.;)

I expect to see those kind of disclaimers on everything. I'm surprised when i don't. :)
 
Well...if eBay goes up in flames, what is Apple going to do about it? Offer the eBay tracking service? :rolleyes: :p
 
Actually, I don't think this is a big deal.

Apple isn't providing the content that Sherlock is displaying, just accessing the information on the web (as I understand it). Therefore they have little or no control over the sites which provide the content, which could stop offering those services or go out of business at any time.
 
There's nothing wrong with that - besides its just the apple lawyers making sure everyone's asses are covered.
 
They have to say stuff like this. Look how many people screamed that Apple promised free iTools for life! Of course, they never said this.
