I recently updated to iTunes 8.0.2 and wanted to update the firmware on my touch and iPhone. I'm currently deployed in the US Army and do not have access to high speed internet on my personal computer, so I downloaded the new firmware to a thumb drive. I tried the old method of holding down shift while clicking to let me select my firmware, but it does not work at all. It just keeps trying to download the new firmware, which I can't do on my slow connection. Any suggestions?
